Dr Joel Singer, M. D., FA. G. S., is a very successful plastic surgeon in the United States. Here, he explains how he uses these products in his practice.

I am a fully trained, Board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and have been involved in the private practice of plastic surgery for over 20 years in Westport, Connecticut, USA, My practice consists of a mixture of reconstructive surgery including trauma, hand surgery and cancer treatment, as well as cosmetic surgery such as facial rejuvenation, liposuction and breast enhancement.

Several years ago I was introduced to these products and was skeptical at first, but I set out to fully investigate the ingredients and the manufacturing process.

I visited the Company headquarters in Utah and spent a great deal of time discussing the products with Tom Mower, Research Chemist and Founder. Tom explained to me that many important discoveries from medical science are often ignored by the skin care and personal care marketing people for many reasons. The result being, the consumer did not benefit from these discoveries.

Most of these companies do not manufacture their own products and are mainly concerned with marketing, advertising and profiting by selling hype.

Many of these products containing ingredients such as mineral oil, sodium lauryl sulphate and propylene glycol have potentially harmful effects on your health, but because these ingredients can fill the bottle cheaply and have been in use for fifty years or more, they continue to be a mainstay of the personal care industry.

What I discovered for myself was truly amazing.  These products are designed to actually work to improve the health and vitality of the skin, hair, nails and teeth and are engineered to avoid potentially harmful ingredients. I couldn’t wait to try them myself and recommend these products to my friends and family. After observing excellent results from these products, I decided to incorporate them into my practice.

I found by introducing my patients to these products in the form of samples prior to surgery or during treatment for a specific situation, the acceptance rate was very high.

I have made up a kit I provide to my patients for use prior to surgery, which consists of the following:

According to product specialist, Pam Young, I was their hardest challenge with regards to the skin.  My skin went through a horrendous healing crisis.  I spent my life using all the wrong things on my skin.  I have extremely dry skin and tried everything possible to retain moisture.  Everything I had used had Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Porpylene Glycol, and DEA which incidently Propylene Glycol I later found I was extremely allergic to.  I broke out in rashes, my skin became inflammed, swollen, patchy, itchy, even dryer.  I also used to layer the vasolene on my face. (a big NO NO !)

As I started using this skin care, what I first noticed was not exactly what I expected.  I broke out more and dried out more, was patchy and the skin on my face and even my neck pealed in "Strips."  On my chin, I formed puss pockets which became bigger and bigger.  however, within a day or so I noticed pieces of glass emerge from those puss pockets.  I realized it was glass form a previous car accident I was involved in which occurred 24 years ago

My initial response was that I was allergic to these products.  I called Pam Young.   She knew exactly what was happening to me, I was going through a traumatic "healing crisis."  She explained about the harmful ingredients H had been using all of these years that were literally damaging, aging my skin and clogging my pores.  I had years of build up in my pores

She also explained that my skin was actually reacting positively to these Products.  Toxins and glass were actually being pulled out of my pores as my skin was detoxifying.  She asked me to please be patient and bear with it and use "Firm Up" and "Barrier Cream" to ease my detoxifying period, which I did.  Either I called Pam or she called me for support over the next 3 months.  Yes, it took me about 3 months to bring my skin back to a normal state; which previously, I never knew what a "normal state" should be for me.  But, low and behold, Pam was right; my New skin emerged so beautifully and the moisture level was finally perfect... just a little dewy.

Normally it shouldn't take this long for the skin to detoxify and renormalize; however, mine was an extreme case.  Now, a lot of times,  I don't even use a foundation make up as I don't feel the need to "hide" or "cover" my now beautiful skin.  I want to show it now not cover it up.  Thank you Pam for not giving up on me and for supporting me through a challenging time

Baby Boomer Skin!

Well, if you use your imagination a little and stretch the point just a bit I guess you could consider mine to be ‘baby boomer’ skin since I arrived just before WWII!!

Growing up in Florida and becoming a sun worshiper at an early age has left the wonderful skin I was blessed with just a little worse for the wear! I have never been one to use a lot of products and I guess that was in my favor now that I know what’s in them! Consequently, maybe I’ve faired better than some for my years. However, looking in the mirror is not one of my favorite pass times these days particularly seeing the crows feet deepen, the brown spots caused from Hormone Replacement Therapy and the sun get darker much less watching my neck Look increasingly more like crepe paper!

Then along came these wonderful skin care products! After having followed the five step skin care program, i.e., Extra Gentle Cleanser for the first month then 1St Impression Cleanse,; Retention Plus; Wrinkle Guard; Bio Mist and Skin Enhance,~, for just over six months, my skin not only feels better but the brown spots are almost gone; the crows feet are not as dramatic and my neck looks like skin again!

I have to admit to still being a sun worshiper! I use Tanacity when I’m going to be in the sun and love the way it prepares my skin for exposure plus giving me a beautiful tan in a shorter time. I had four days at the beach in south Florida this year but most of my exposure comes from working in the yard and riding a lawn mower. On some occasions I have gotten a little too much sun (especially on my face) and have found Rebound to be the answer! I apply Rebound immediately after showering when I come in. The lotion absorbs instantly and you only have the feeling of having applied a nice moisturizer. Due to Rebound I have experienced NO hot-cold sensations that go along with sunburn nor have I had any peeling at all, just a beautiful tan!

After every shower my back would burn and itch and I would have hives.  Because of this I would put lots and lots of lotion on, which added to my dilemma.  After switching to "Personal Care Products" I no longer get hives nor does my back itch or burn, and I use very little lotion, as my skin is in better condition than it has ever been.  I was thrilled when I found out that personal care products are Carcinogen Free.  The contain NO Sodium Laurel (Laureth) Sulfate or Propylene Glycol or DEA (Diethanolamine)

I have had “dry” skin for as long as I can remember. About two years ago, the condition of my scalp was practically unbearable. It constantly itched. It was all I could do to keep from scratching every couple of minutes. My husband would get very annoyed and ask if I had “bugs”. My sister was visiting for Thanksgiving that year and had a new shampoo she’d been using called Ultimate. I tried it, and by the third day of use, I had very little itching whatsoever. I hardly dared to hope that the itching and embarrassment might be coming to an end, My sister left her bottle of shampoo with me when she returned home.
